Up on the Wall - Murals

Last year I was commissioned to paint a few murals.  This was a wonderful experience for me!  I was given little direction which allowed me to use my creative ideas to produce some unique pieces of art.

The first was a scene from the beaches of the Pacific.  The homeowner wanted to surprise his wife who grew up living on the coast.  They were remodeling their bathroom and a wall mural was just the thing to complete the project!

The second mural was for a family relative.  Also a bathroom remodel.  They ride horses in the foothills of central California, so this project was something I knew they would enjoy.

Both pieces of art were painted using acrylics.

Licensing Expo 2015!

The Licensing Expo this year is in Las Vegas next month!  I will be updating my portfolio these coming weeks in preparation for my trip there.  It’s quite the big event!  Looking forward to attending and meeting new and wonderful people!

Sweet Surprises are the Best! Who doesn't Love See's?

What could be a better way to end a sweet Valentine’s Day than to be surprised with a sweet treat?
One of my all time favorite See’s candies is a milk chocolate Bordeaux.  So yummy!
So after sharing a delicious steak dinner cooked by my hubby and son, with my beautiful daughter in law and friends, my son delights me with a Bordeaux Chocolate heart!
Happily I went slightly over my calorie count for the day! LOL!
Thank you to the best son ever!

After the rain, it’s time for the beach!

Don’t you just love the way the air smells after the rain?
So fresh and clean.  The sun just trying to break through…such a beautiful opportunity for artistic expression!
I was walking down the beach on the California coast and came upon these old pilings.  The sun was shimmering on the thin remains of a wave as it was retreating back to the ocean.  I snapped a shot and completed this piece a few days ago.
What do you like best about your visits to the beach?

Just Horsing Around–what do you do on a sick day?

Turn it into a time to Create!

It was just a regular day getting ready for work...right? Wrong!  I woke up and I knew right away that I was not going to make it.   Not only that, but it was a horribly foggy day outside!

So after some much needed sleep and a warm cup of chicken noodle soup...I felt like I needed to be productive.  I sat up in my nice comfy bed, propped up the pillows and grabbed my iPad!

I have this cool app called Procreate.  I opened it up and started to play!  "Friesian 1" is the result!
